Charli XCX Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Satirical Film Teaser

The celebrated musician is getting ready for a significant film appearance in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.

Within the project, she portrays what she calls as a hell version of her public image.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, the performer remarked.

She elaborated in a conversation: It’s far from a live performance documentary, but the idea stemmed from the pressure to make one.

The mockumentary is overseen and co-authored by her collaborator, who revealed that the plot revolves around a scenario where Charli made entirely different choices in the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.
